Easy Reading

This thermometer has been very useful. It registers the temperature quickly and the numbers are easy to read even with bi-focals. The cover becomes a handle so your fingers don't get to close to the flame when grilling. I would recommend it.
Digital instant read thermometer done right!

Nothing better than a product that works as advertised and the Weekend Warrior Digital Thermometer does just that. Not sure I like the "racing stripe" decor, but that's a minor issue. Heck, with that bright orange color job, I never lose it in the utility drawer.Taylor #806 Weekend Warrior Digital Instant Read Thermometer
Hot & Sexy!

OK, I lied about the sexy. The Taylor #806 Weekend Warrior Digital Instant Read Thermometer was probably named for - if not designed for - the tailgate party, but I purchased it as a backup to my keep-in thermometer for turkey on Thanksgiving. A leading consumer mag gave the Taylor highest marks, and I understand why - it does precisely what it was designed to do. During the holiday season, I used the Taylor for everything from testing the yeast temperature for my homemade dinner rolls, to the 165-degree recommended temp for the inside thigh of the turkey. I now look forward to using it on my grilled masterpieces this summer. The secret to great grilling is not overcooking the meat. The Taylor Thermometer will ensure every guest gets his/her preferred done-ness.

I bought this as a gift for my husband, a newbie to grilling. He had a tendency to overcook things for fear of serving undercooked and possibly harmful food. By checking the temp periodically with the instant reading on this thermometer, it has really helped him establish times for typical grilled fare. No more dry chicken!!!
Fast and accurate.

It works rapidly and I am assuming it is accurate. Tested in boiling water and it read 210 Deg F.
