Quick, easy and absolutely great for the tastebuds, try it!

This barbecue beef recipe sent in by "Old Bob" is a straightforward but nevertheless very flavoursome way to prepare a beef cut prior to cooking. We tried this one last weekend and can say that it certainly lived up to our expectations.

Ingredients

Medium sized chuck or rump roast
2 T. your favourite Beef Shake
2 T. freshly cracked pepper
2 T. garlic powder

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients together.

2. Trim excess fat from roast-leaving some on for flavor.

3. Liberally rub the roast with seasoning.

4. Start your grill, then raise to a medium heat.

5. Place roast on grids and cook for 1 hour, then reduce to "smoke" for 1-1/2 hours.

6. Test for doneness using a meat thermometer. 140 F for rare, 150F for medium, 160F for well done

7. Allow roast to sit for 15 minutes before carving.

Servings: 8

This highly recommended beef rub works well on all cuts of meat, and brings out the flavors beautifully. Give it a try on your brisket, beef ribs, tri-tip, and anything else you care to shake it at!
