
Barbecue Rhubarb Mopped Beef Short Ribs
Ingredients
4 pounds lean meaty beef short ribs 1/2 cup water 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
Sauce:
1 cup sliced rhubarb 1 envelope onion soup mix 1/3 cup honey 1/3 cup chili sauce 3/4 cup rose wine 1/3 cup water 1/2 teaspoon basil 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Place ribs in rectangular pan with water then sprinkle with seasoned salt.
Cover with foil then bake at 350 for two hours.
Meanwhile combine remaining ingredients except garnish in a sauce pan.
Simmer 30 minutes then pour over ribs and bake 30 minutes longer uncovered.
Baste several times during cooking.
