
Grilled Salisbury Steak In Belmont SauceThis recipe yields 6 servings. Ingredients 1 3/4 lb finely lean chuck, ground beef 2 Tbls. onion,Grated 2 Tbls. green bell pepper, grated 1 cup l garlic, mashed 1 1/2 Tbls. finely chives, chopped 1 pinch salt 1 pinch black pepper 1 pinch paprika 1 pinch of powdered thyme
For the Belmont Sauce
3 Tbls. butter 1/3 cup tomato ketchup 1 Tbls. lemon juice 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce 1 generous dash tabasco sauce 1 tsp. prepared mustard 1 pinch salt 1 pinch black pepper a little mace to taste 1 Tbls. dry sherry wine
Preparation
Mix
all ingredients together and shape into 6 individual small
steaks,about3/4" thick. Sprinkle with seasoned flour and brush with
olive oil.
Broil them for 5 to 6 minutes or more on each side, depending on degree of doneness desired.
Belmont Sauce: Melt butter with the rest of the ingredients.
Blend
well.Stir in 2 tbsp. sherry and bring almost to a boiling point.
Arrange the steaks on a hot platter and pour the sauce over them.
