
Bourbon Heat BBQ Chicken
Ingredients
1 bottle(18 oz) bbq sauce shopping list 1/4 c bourbon whiskey or apple juice shopping list 2 Tbs apple cider vinegar shopping list 1/2 tsp chili powder shopping list 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list 3-3-1/2 lbs bone-in chicken pieces
Preparation
In
bowl, stir together bbq sauce, whiskey, vinegar, chili powder and
cinnamon. Reserve 2/3 c sauce mixture; place remaining sauce in large
plastic resealable storage bag.
Pierce chicken with for;add to bad with sauce, making sure all chicken pieces are coated.
Seal bag;refrigerate 2 hours, turning occasionally.
Preheat
oven to 375 degrees. Line jelly roll pan with foil; coat with cooking
spray Remove chicken from bag, letting excess sauce drip off; discard
bag with sauce.
Arrange chicken, skin side up on pan.
Roast
till no longer pink near bone, 45-50 mins, brushing with reserved sauce
mixture several times during last 20 mins of cooking time.
