Spicy Ginger Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients

medium onion, chopped

tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
2
tablespoons chopped fresh garlic

1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1
cup dry rosé or dry white wine
1/2
cup ketchup
3
tablespoons cider vinegar
3
tablespoons packed brown sugar
1
tablespoon Dijon mustard
1
teaspoon Worcestershire
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon pepper
1/8
teaspoon cayenne

tablespoons lemon juice
Preparation
Sauté
onion, ginger, and garlic with vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over
medium-high heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add rosé,
ketchup, cider vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire,
salt, pepper, and cayenne. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until very
slightly thickened, 5 to 6 minutes.
Cool
slightly, add lemon juice, then whirl in a blender until smooth.
